The Community and Regional Affairs Committee considered                        
SENATE BILL NO. 242 An Act authorizing appropriation of the                    
proceeds obtained by the state from levy and collection of its ad              
valorem tax on oil and gas exploration, production, and pipeline               
property to implement state revenue sharing for the safe communities           
program; and providing for an effective date. Signing no
